How did the opportunity to be in the Fizz come about?
A good friend of mine Soraya Vivienne told me about the audition and said I would be perfect for it.. I was hesitant at first as I thought I would be too young and too tall lol
What was required in the audition?
For the initial audition we had to learn My camera never lies and new beginning(mamba seyra) so we could perform and harmonise with the girls at pineapple studios where they auditioned a shortlist of 15 other hopefuls!
What is it like being part of the Fizz?
It is so much fun being a part of the fizz and I am effervescently fizzing with joy every day it’s such a cool job… to be a part of musical Eurovision history is phenomenal!
You were previously in Phixx how does this compare?
Compared to my boyband days in Phixx it feels very different and because I am older and wiser I am more grateful for the opportunity, we lasted 3 years as Phixx… this band have been successful for the last 43 years…. there’s a bit of a difference haha… although I will defend my band and say ‘hold on me’ is still being played on the radio which says a lot about our first single with Phixx! It’s iconic to a lot of people.. and a gay awakening for many with our raunchy top of the pops performance and music video many moons ago! lol xxxx
